Third Season of EHRI Podcast | For the Living and the Dead: Traces of the Holocaust
In October 2024, EHRI began to release the third season of the EHRI Podcast “For the Living and the Dead: Traces of the Holocaust”, with its first episode “A Message from Malawi”. The EHRI podcast was first launched in September 2022, and highlights personal stories from the Holocaust through objects, now found in museums or (personal and private) archives across Europe and beyond. Researchers and archivists from across the EHRI network highlight the importance of documenting the Holocaust through objects and the need to protect and care for these objects.
So far in the the third season, we have heard about a well-travelled letter by Professor Albert Lichtblau in A Message from Malawi; an ex-libris stamp in a book donated to the National Library of Serbia in 1941 in The Stamp of Samuilo Demajo; and a remarkable photograph marking the start of a young man’s journey to survival and recovery in A Place of Paradise. On 14th November, we will release the 4th episode, A Lost Letter, where we hear about the heroic actions hidden in a lost letter. Listen to the latest season of For the Living and the Dead. Traces of the Holocaust.
