Simone Gigliotti is a Reader in Holocaust Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London, UK. Her work focuses on Holocaust displacement and transports (refugees and displaced persons, deportation, death marches); film, photography, maps, and visual culture; memory-recording and generative technologies; and Holocaust geographies. Her presentation at the EHRI conference reflects on the experience of publishing Restless Archive: The Holocaust and the Cinema of the Displaced (Indiana UP, 2023; Manifold). Forthcoming publications include “Zakhor AI” for AJS Perspectives (Summer 2024), and a special issue on "Conflict Transport" for The Journal of Transport History (August 2024).
