Dov Winer

Dov Winer is a psychologist (Hebrew University) specialized in Online Education and Training at the University of London. Was among the early implementers of ICT in education in Israel at the end of the ’80ies with the Negev College and MAKASH association. He introduced the Internet outside academy in Israel and founded the Israel Internet Society. He defined the requirements and trained the Teacher’s Educators development team for the Israel Colleges of Education network.

In 1991 he proposed and planned for the Ministry of Communications the Global Jewish Network as an Internet service; managed from 2001-2006 the project for developing Jewish Networking Infrastructures at JAFI; wrote the proposal and now serves as scientific manager of Judaica Europeana continuing to participate in several EC backed initiatives (e.g. DM2E, ITEC, ECB, Linked Heritage). Since 2012 he teaches a seminar on Digital Humanities at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
