The latest EHRI Document Blog post by Zoltán Vági and Gábor Kádár takes a close look at the history of the Warsaw Concentration Camp. As the SS destroyed the majority of relevant documents before evacuating the camp in the summer of 1944, knowledge on this concentration camp is therefore rather scarce. The post attempts to reconstruct the history of the Warsaw Concentration Camp by analyzing testimonies of 60 camp survivors, held by the Hungarian Jewish Museum and Archives. The survivors represent the largest group of prisoners - Hungarian Jews. Their analysis offers an insight into the history of the camp as well as the fate of people imprisoned in it.
