Janina Struk is an independent scholar, a photographer, writer and former Senior Lecturer at University of Westminster based in London. She is author of a number of articles, essays and two books: Photographing the Holocaust: Interpretations of the Evidence (I.B. Tauris, 2004) and Private Pictures: Soldiers’ Inside View of War (I.B. Tauris, 2011). Her work on the Holocaust is concerned with the interpretation of images and their uses as evidence.

She is currently conducting further research into the uses of photography as resistance during the Holocaust for a forthcoming book.
