Memorial de la Shoah, The Elie Wiesel National Institute for the Study of the Holocaust in Romania

Oleg Surovtsev is an Assistant Professor at the Department of the History of Ukraine at Yuri Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University (Chernivtsi, Ukraine). Since 2010 he is leading the Center of Jewish Studies at Chernivtsi National University. In 2007, he defended his dissertation at Yuri Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, titled: “The Holocaust in Northern Bukovyna and Khotyn Region Throughout World War II”. As an EHRI Fellow at the Elie Wiesel National Institute for the Study of the Holocaust in Romania his is working on a project titled: “Bukovynian Jews during the Holocaust through the Lens of Romanian documents”.
