While some basic information about the Pest ghetto is well-known among researchers and the general public, little has been written about its micro-history. This blog article, written by former EHRI fellow Borbála Klacsmann, discusses the establishment and daily life in the ghetto primarily using the documents created by the Jewish Council concerning the administration and everyday functioning. At the same time, it pays special attention to the topography of the ghetto and its visualisation.
