The EHRI Portal was officially launched during the Presentation of the European Holocaust Research Infrastructure on 26 March 2015 in Berlin. You can access the Portal at https://portal.ehri-project.eu.

Access to information

The EHRI Portal offers access to in-depth information about Holocaust-related archival institutions and their collection. It is an ever expanding resource that currently hosts reports that concisely outline the Holocaust history and archival situation in 57 countries, details about more than 1,800 Holocaust-relevant archival institutions, and tens of thousands of descriptions of archival materials lodged in more than 200 institutions across Europe and beyond. All this information can be conveniently explored via dedicated tools for searching and browsing.

Sign up today

The Portal is open to everyone with an interest in Holocaust research, and no registration is required. But a free registration option is available for everyone, and registered users get access to additional features. For instance, as a registered user you can put up a profile about yourself and your research or follow and get in touch with other registered users. You can also watch and add notes to descriptions that are available on the Portal, and share your notes with others.

Feedback

We would very much like to hear back from you about your experience of using the Portal. If you encounter any problems, or if you have any other comment, please let us know by either using the Portal’s feedback form or by emailing us at feedback@ehri-project.eu.
